Hey Atlanta, come grab chicken and waffles in the West End this Sunday, October 6th!

Not too long after I mentioned breakfast at Cafe 458, the brunch spot disappeared from my Sunday routine entirely. Turns out the location where the Sunday pop up restaurant was located, in Atlanta’s Old Fourth Ward area, is up for grabs and the entire organization is on the move.

If you find the location and all the positive yelp reviews, remember not to waste time knocking on the door at the old building off of Edgewood. As they transition into a new space, you’ll see them popping up around, still led by Chef Ali (aka @foodbywest).

That all jumps off this Sunday, October 6th when the old Cafe 458 team pops up at Monday Night Garage (933 Lee Street location). The event will be showcasing the popular Roscoe’s #9 from the old menu, a nod to both Chef Ali’s west coast roots, and Atlanta’s soulful + soul food heritage. In other words, it’s a beer and chicken party you shouldn’t miss this weekend!

The event is in association with the wrap up of The Race 2019 Impact + Elevate Event. If you haven’t heard about this great effort, it’s a sold out half marathon organized to raise money for black owned businesses and communities. As always there will be some great people in attendance, and proceeds from all the chicken slinging will benefit the Atlanta Center for Self Sufficiency’s (ACSS) work with the homeless.

Eat well, do good, and see yall soon.
